This probably isnt a story that I should be posting online but I cant help it. It just blew my mind that someone would even do this.

Anyway, I have a good friend that used to play ALOT of World of Warcraft. He was in the marines at the time and really had nothing better to do when stationed on base. While he was stationed in Japan his wife cheated on him with a guy she met while also playing WOW. Sure thats a little crazy since the guy drove 8 hours for this but here is the reall kicker. When he got back home and found out what she had done he started asking a million questions. Eventually he found out that she slept with him for 1000 gold in WOW...................

Yep you heard that right. She basically sold her body for digital gold. He said at the time 1000 gold was alot. I had to ask if its at least a good amount of gold because I dont play WOW and have no interest in it.

Anyway this blew my mind. He obviously filed for divorce as quick as he could and left her ass. I knew that they had a rough marriage but I never knew why they got divorced......

No it isn't. If you buy it from a gold seller's site it's like 20-40$. Also since the 2nd expansion came out it's not that hard to make it by playing the game.

Nah. The beauty of serving in the Navy as either a sailor or marine is that you get used to life sucking, nothing being fair, and the worst shit happening for the most arbitrary reasons.

You also learn to not trust women, so this was more like him getting some training out of the way. As amazing as that story is, in the military it's almost tragically commonplace.
