...and now we know just how unnecessary the cg in the Star Wars prequels really was. If they'd gone for something more like this guy, it would've looked a LOT better.

Cool. It's kind of half costume half banraku puppet. I've always thought with how easy it is nowadays to rotoscope stuff out they should just have puppeteers stand in the shots and control lifesize puppets vs using CG for everything. But the execs want CG, that's why Joe Dante wouldn't make a gremlins 3, he wanted to use puppets.
