Just got an NES light gun

Post by saturnfan »

I was wondering what games use it.

I was at a play-n-trade today and I picked up the gun with a copy of Mario/Duck hunt even though the price for the game was outrageous... 5$. Mario/Duck hunt is like the most common game in the world. But that is beyond the point, now I have this sweet gun and need some recommendations for games to look for.

*copied straight from Wikipedia*

Games compatible with the NES Zapper:

* The Adventures of Bayou Billy (gun optional)
* Baby Boomer (unlicensed) (gun optional)
* Barker Bill's Trick Shooting
* Chiller (unlicensed) (gun optional)
* Duck Hunt
* Freedom Force
* Gotcha! The Sport!
* Gumshoe
* Hogan's Alley
* Laser Invasion
* The Lone Ranger (gun optional)
* Mechanized Attack
* Operation Wolf (gun optional)
* Shooting Range (gun optional)
* To The Earth
* Wild Gunman

Nothing really sticks out as a GREAT light gun game, (other than Duck Hunt), but Hogan's Alley was a fun diversion from shooting pixel ducks, and Laser Invasion is a fun game (IMO) outside of the shooting segments..

Gun trigger has nice click to it. Too bad the dog can't be shot in Duck hunt. Keep in mind only works on NON-HD CRTs.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Gotcha was pretty good too. I haven't played either, so I could be on crack.

I have never played the NES version of Chiller but it looks kind of interesting. I'd like to get that one. My Zapper just sits in a box unused. :lol:
