working with Ebay to set a new policy
I will be working with Ebay to set a new policy that buyers receive partial refund for an item that is not as described. I just don't want to go through the trouble of shipping the item back to receive the full refund (3 days return policy, come on). I can simply send the game to skippy disc to have it resurfaced, but why do I have to pay for the extra fee when I was expecting the item to be in "very good condition." I think sellers are responsible so they need to compensate for not describing the item correctly. I will be making the call tomorrow. I have an open case with one of the sellers who refused my request for a partial refund.

Not to stick up for the seller, but you have to take ebay for what it is. You take chances and sometimes you don't always win, in fact all of us probably have a case where we "lost" on an ebay transaction. The sellers feedback is your only jumping off point, which is usually a decent indicator of how your sale will go.
Ebay is so pro-buyer, that I wouldn't be surprised if you get any headway with ebay. Ebay is so against the sellers now in their policies and it shows with the hemorrhage of sellers. C'mon google, where is your ebay killer?

The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

eBay Buyer Protection

Usually, a seller will not accept a partial refund, but will accept a return. I have used eBay Buyer Protection three times last month! I received my money and shipping cost back, plus eBay provided a free shipping label to return the items. So, in the end I incurred no expense.
