What do you personally wish to achieve when you are collection a particular game?
Things like owning all of a particular series of games or owning every peripheral of a certain system can be an idea.
For me, owning all of the bit Generations games for the Gameboy Advance would be quite the achievement in my opinion. I haven't started but I will soon.
So what are your personal collecting achievements, whether it was past achievements, what you are working on now. or what you plan on doing down the road?

Having all the great fighting games for the dreamcast, just need to reacquire powerstone 2 and get capcom vs snk 2, and vampire chronicle.

I want a mod chip or flash cart for every console I own. Don't think I'll ever get my hands on a Cuttle Cart 2 though.

I want to own over 100 Gamecube games. I'm close, too; I have about 94 right now.

For any system, collecting every game with a metacritic rating above 85.

Well, similar idea, I just would want every notable game for a particular console. Not every great game gets great reviews though, or is even well known for that matter. At the moment, I'm sort of becoming obsessed with CIB cartridge based stuff, particularly the SNES. I just love the look of the US boxes. Some people want EVERY game for a particular console, which I think is silly personally. No room for crap games in my collectionJ T wrote:For any system, collecting every game with a metacritic rating above 85.

I would like to have every NES game... but that'll never happen. So just to build up a decent sized collection of 100-200 games for every one of my consoles.

your 1000th game.
Also, I would like to own every US gamegear game, and maybe every US GBA game too if I have a lot of money.

For me it's mostly just getting some pricey or hard to find game that's been on my want list for a while. Stuff like Zanac x Zanac or Harmful Park for PS1 or Power Strike II for SMS. I have no desire for any complete sets of games for systems. I do have collections of series like Contra and Castlevania, but I'm not specifically trying for every single game and variation.

Re: What do you consider a collection achievement?
Honestly, I'm just hoping to get my hands on every game that I'll enjoy playing. I can't imagine that this would exceed more than 50 games a console, I'm pretty stingy with the quality of my games. The PS2 might end up being an exception, though.
