Is there any reason copies of Sonic 1 or Vectorman 2 shouldn't work on a model 3 Genny? The carts seem fine, no corrosion on the pin-outs or anything. Other carts work fine in the console.
Maybe they're just bad carts. It's only a few bucks lost but it's bumming me out. I have tons of NES carts and I've yet to come across one of those that I couldn't get to work.

well, in model 3 genesis they took out the f chip, or g chip or whatever they called it. they took it out to save space.
virtua racing will not work on a model 3 genesis because of this. the missing chip is also a reason that the 32x wont work with it as well, i think.
that chip inside the genesis isnt talked about much, everybody thinks virtua racing only utilized a chip inside the cart, but that chip worked with that special chip inside the genesis 1 and 2. in fact, virtua racing (and the 32x system) is the only game to utilize the special chip inside the genesis.
i think your sonic and vectorman are simply defective however.
