Looks good now. The reason why they looked normal on your computer is due to the browser cache. Your browser has the images already downloaded and just pulled the files from the cache.Flake wrote:Hmmmm...the links look normal on my computer...clever.
Edit: Pics are fixed. Thanks for letting me know they were messed up. For some reason they looked perfectly fine on my comp. That'll teach me to be lazy.

the worst is when you make a lengthy post and that happens.

agree. I feel like this game looks like a bad rom-hack or something.PresidentLeever wrote:
Then there's the presentation, which I don't like nearly as much. Sprites and backgrounds look unpolished and sort of unproportionate. Wario looks really ugly, and not in a charming way like in the original. Music is more of the same, just less memorable.

Oh, I mentioned those things. I just didn't call too much attention to them. I try to describe the entire game without creating a wall of text. Sometimes that means I have to fold elements together.PresidentLeever wrote:Looking through your review, you seemed to skip some major parts of the game, like how you usually use enemies to inflict status effects on Wario, in order to solve puzzles and get through areas. Or the mini-games. Or the many different paths and endings.
See?

but you're right, I didn't mention the mini-games. I figured that since you can skip them they weren't worth calling too much attention to.Flake wrote:With...an amusing narrative and multiple endings...
It's really interesting that a lot of the things I found charming about this game are the exact elements a lot of you didn't enjoy at all. This kind of discussion and feedback is exactly why I enjoy writing reviews for the forums.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I've never played 3. 4 is really good though.PresidentLeever wrote:
I'm gonna have to try WL3 sometime, I recall it sharing a lot of aspects with this one, but being more complex.

Wario Land 3 is like Wario Land 2 on steroids. My only gripe against it is that you have to backtrack a lot.
But in general, I pretty much love all the Wario Land games.

That's a good point. When I review something I try as hard as I can to avoid making a wall of text. Mostly I only try to answer two questions: What is the appeal of the game and how much (in my opinion) should you be willing to spend on it? I might need to try and emphasize a few more details to make my future reviews more 'complete'. Thanks for the feedback.PresidentLeever wrote:You do mention these things but since you don't flesh out on them at all, who's going to understand how they work in the game unless they've played it themselves?
