Music from FINAL FANTASY with the San Francisco Symphony comes back to the Bay Area. It will be held on July 15th and July 16th at 8pm. Nobuo Uematsu will be in attendance in San Francisco. I will be attending on July 15th and look forward to getting the new CD and hearing tracks from Final Fantasy XIII and XIV. This will be my second time attending and it is a fun event for fans of Final Fantasy. 8)

I would highly recommend that you go to one of these if you can. I've seen both Dear Friends and Distant Worlds (as well as Live! twice, but that's mixed video games) and it is just amazing. The symphony takes what we already love and gives it some panache. The audience is made up of equal parts young video game fans and old couples who have season tickets for the symphony, and both groups just love the music.

I was able to attend it when it all started in Minneapolis, MN of last year.

Pretty amazing to hear the rearrange music from classical titles.

Video Games Live! was great went to that last year and got to meet Tommy Tellarico and it was awesome as well as Distant Worlds. :D

Whoops! That was a typo on my part; I meant to say I've seen Play! twice. The inaugeral show for Play! was amazing, as they had nearly every composer there and we got several special treats, like Koji Kondo doing a piece from New Super Mario Bros on the piano and Akira Yamaoka playing electric guitar on Theme of Laura. And we got a first look at the Blue Dragon soundtrack.

Sadly the Sonic the hedgehog music tour featuring Dreams Come True and Michael Jackson will never come to be.
