Does anyone know of a reference site for Hardcore. A "Metal Archives for Punk" if you will?

As far as I know there is nothing like that.

Damn. Since The Metal Archives has become my crutch, it's been hard to get into other genres of music.

I knew of a sorta similar site for hardcore punk, though they only listed the "important" bands. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called though.

I think everybody would love a punk-archives, rock-archives, edm-archives, etc etc.

Ok, here are some Japanese bands/releases that I think are cool. Only MCM is what I'd consider even punk influenced, but anyway. I think these are cool covers.

I guess a lot of people just down load music though.

I have a couple of Sigh, Sabbat, and Fastkill cds and that's about the closest thing I own that's relevant to this thread.

If you like those guys, I reccomend checking out King's-Evil, they kick so much ass

They both fall under punk just like grindcore and sludge even though some people think those are genres of metal they came from punks who were involved in the hardcore punk scene. When I talk about hardcore punk though I am usually carefully to call it hardcore punk instead of just hardcore. If you just say hardcore then people think you are referring to stuff like Hatebreed, Madball, NYHC etc...I call that stuff basketball shorts hardcore. I hate that shit.
