Contra, All the super mario games on the NES, Wonder Boy on the SMS, all the GOW games, FF 1 on the NES, Metroid... man, I can't think right now but there are a lot of them.

jeez, I haven't beaten that many super-hard games I guess. I was so proud of myself for sticking with Phantasy Star till the end though.

My hat's off to you people who have beaten Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I recently found a youtube vid that shows someone going through the whole game with no deaths.

It's funny when I can't beat a game I find my redemption elsewhere. So I've beaten both Maximo games, which were obviously inspired by Ghouls and Ghosts

hahaha I hear ya. Super Ghouls & Ghosts is ridiculous.

I only played the first Maximo. I found it kinda meh. But I generally don't like 3D games anyway.

Retro-wise, probably the first Super Mario Bros. But I'm not sure I beat it as a kid. I did go back to it recently and find it a lot easier than I remembered. I suspect I may be better at video games than I was 20 years ago.

For recent games, the hardest I've beaten is Demon's Souls. I really like that game, but it is definitely punishing.

Street Combat (SNES) - So bad, it's tough to play for one match, let alone the entire game.

Serious Sam (PC) - It's not that big a deal on single player, but I did this in 8-man co-op, with additional enemies spawned per person. The final levels featured hordes of hundreds of enemies as eight of us ran around cursing as loud as we could.

The Ring: Terror's Realm (Dreamcast) - I beat it. What?

And come to think of it, I don't think you've ever beaten me in Virtua Fighter Fastbilly.

I don't really enjoy survival horror games. Well, I really like the genre but I'm a huge baby about them because they scare the crap out of me, but I recently beat Dead Space on the pc. So I'm proud that I was finally able to grow a pair and finish it.

Every single one of 'em.

From Actraiser to Zero Tolerance, I'm proud of almost every game I've beaten.
