I've been wanting to play my N64 with a GC controller, and I've seen a picture that it's possible to do.
But I can't do it myself, because I don't have any knowledge about PCBs and stuff like that. My initial thought was just to splice the wires and then stick them together, but in the controllers I've opened, there are six wires in the Gc controller, not an official Nintendo but something called "Logic 3", and there's only three wires in the N64 controller.
Does anybody know how it can be done?
And if so, can you help me?

Re: Gamecube controller for N64
The Hori N64 mini controller is somewhat similar to the GC controller; it even uses the same analog stick. If you can't mod a GC controller, you may want to consider this option.
Re: Gamecube controller for N64
I have actually come across this info before. It's a little more complicated than just splices some wires together, but it IS possible.

@ lisalover1: Yes, I know about the Hori pad, unfortunately I haven't been able to find one. And as far as I know they're pretty hard to come by. But the placing of the D-pad on the Hori, does seem very uncomfortable, which is why I looked to the Gamecube controllers instead.
@ Ziggy587: Yeah, that one picture with the Gc controller to the N64 is the one I've seen before. And the schematics reminds me of my old days as an electrician, although I never really worked with this stuff, except from in school for a little while.
So a PCB is needed to bring the wires together, or what are the other things supposed to be in the schematics of the second link you provided?
