What's the longest you've marathoned a single 'credit'?

So last weekend I fixed my 360 again. Monday night I decided to play some Extend Every Extra Extreme in time unlimited mode. I'de played it a little since getting Qubed, but it hadn't clicked yet. Gameplay finally fell into place and I played a 3+ hour game but just let myself run out of time since I had to get some sleep before work.

Last night I started up another game of E4 with the intention of a marathon. Along the way I discovered that the maximum overdrive is 380 and the maximum multiplier is 100. The music started getting a little stale after about 4 hours, but it's integral to the game so I couldn't just play some other music. I took a few pictures along the way. The last one I took in game was at 7 hours 18 minutes (duration is the bottom left corner).



Ten minutes later I crashed, which resets your overdrive speed and multiplier. The sun had already come up and I was getting tired and really sloppy. At this point I stopped worrying about keeping my time up and mostly let chains run out even if I was low on time. I could have kept it going longer if I weren't so tired, but I still managed another 30 minutes. I did take a few 5-10 minutes breaks for food and bathroom and such, but my actual game play time was about 8 hours long. Got a good final score on the leaderboards.



So excluding RPGs, FPS, and such, what's the longest you've played a single game or round on 1 'credit'?

I've never tried to marathon a game other then Final Fantasy VIII. When that came out a friend and I literally played it for a day or two straight.

The longest I have played a game in a sitting is about 12 hours playing Fallout 3.

I played NES for some long periods as a kid too but I am not sure if it was as long as that.

Well, I was specifically meaning 1 'credit' on a game. RPGs are easy to play for hours at a time without a game over. Gonna edit the thread title.

I just figure that a game with lives or a time limit (with extra time earnable) where you play one 'game' or 'credit' is different from playing through an RPG or FPS.

I went threw Virtual Fighter 3TB with using one credit and about seven years ago when I worked at my uncles pizza shop, this guy spent 3 hours on his first ball on an Adam's Family Pinball machine.

Remember that old Jurassic Park arcade game? The one where you were in the booth that was supposed to be a jeep, and the bench shook? My cousin and I beat it on one credit each when we were kids.

I still love that game. It's not too difficult, even on the hard mode.

I tend to be great at lightgun games however.

I played Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast for like 3-5 hours straight on the same 'credit' once.

I think the longest I have gone on a single credit in an arcade style game would be...in between an hour or two. I haven't 1cc'ed many games but I did one life complete Blue Wish Resurection Plus, which was fun and took some practice.
