Alright, that's it. You used all of your good luck on that one. Now you'll never get the chance to sleep with the girl in your avatar.

I ran into this in the wild today: Nyko Airflo Wireless for the Gamecube. It is one of those controllers with the fans in them for sweaty palms.

I remember hearing about these awhile ago and thinking they sounded interesting, never wanted one that bad though. This one was in great shape, and while not a "steal", it had a decent price tag.

Has anyone ever used one of these? Are they decent quality?

I tested it out to make sure it worked and it seemed to work surprisingly well. I only played some Double Dash. You can adjust the fan from barely spinning to some high speed! It also has joysticks right next to each other like a PS. There are also 2 Z buttons. It has a stick that screws in and out of the D-Pad.

It seemed to have a very good signal. I sat pretty far back and under a blanket with no issues.

It takes 4 AAs and is significantly bigger than a Wavebird. It still fit pretty good in my hands though.

I actually really like the idea of fans in controllers, never heard of that before. That may be a good mod project for me. It sounds pretty easy.

I've never used that controller, but looking at it I know I don't want to. One of the things I loved about the GCN controller was the perfectly placed X/Y/B buttons. They were placed so your finger set on the A button and just naturally rocked to hit the others. Also, the one thing I don't like about the PS2 controller is that the DPad is in the "main" spot and the analog sticks are in the "extra" spot when you use the sticks most of the time.

Picked up a pile of NES/SNES games at the local goodwill. Some great, some terrible, but all $2 each.

Mario 2
Skate or Die
Punchout
Pinball
Paperboy
Ikari Warriors
Bases Loaded

Mortal Kombat
Mario Kart
Some stupid foot ball game "play action" something or other.

It was worth the haul just for Mario 2, Punchout, and Mario Kart.

Went yard-saling this Saturday and came across a few decent finds.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 PS1 - complete and mint - $1
Purple Gameboy Color w/ Tetris, PacMan, Galaga Galaxian, and Donkey Kong - $.50
Sonic 1 complete - $.25
Sonic 2 cartridge - $.25
Microcosm w/case - $.25
Sonic Spinball complete - $.25

SG clear 3 button ProPad - .$25

All are in remarkable condition aside from a little label damage on Donkey Kong.
