I've only ever played a DS once (it was a demo at Toys R Us, I think), and thought the whole touchscreen was awkward.

I'm a southpaw, but I use a mouse and play guitar right-handed. I'm sure I could get used to a stylus with a little practice. Believe it or not, I can even type with two hands!
I'm in the same boat and yeah haha typing with 2 hands, that's something I can do as well. However, I can't hold a pen right or play games with the stylus using my right hand.
Same here :(

I'm surprised the whole... "It needs 2 analog nubs!" PSP argument hasn't erupted over the 3DS only sporting 1 analog nub... but that WOULD solve the lefty issue! I've actually recently contacted Nintendo over left handed Wii issues (I'm a lefty) because I'm afraid that I won't be able to play the next game in my favorite franchise... Zelda Skyward Sword unless it allows for a left handed option.

I'm left handed myself, but I don't see any problem with the 3DS having only one analog nub. Only FPS games require the use of both the d-pad and the stylus, but none of them are good enough to justify the genre on a handheld, PSP or DS.

A third person game without a good camera also needs a second analog stick for the camera control.

Considering that Miyamoto is a lefty I can't imagine the game won't be accessable to left handed people.

Good thing I am ambidextrous and could careless either way. If anything this design screws over right-handers because if they have to press button and use the stylus the D-pad is in a more akward position.

Why are you assuming a game will have that play style, where it will be analog and stylus only and not instead D-pad or the Four buttons w/stylus? Do you know something I don't. Only games I could imagine it doing this are FPS, and you could use the four buttons instead like most games that have a left-handed mode.

I find that I perfer L and R buttons for the camera. Its a lot easier and your thumbs are still on the action buttons. Press L/R together for it to center.

Also, I heard that the Goldeneye 007 Wii exclusive will also be on DS.

cause developers are lazy end of story. I will never understand why console games don't let you reassign buttons whichever way you want. Some games allow that but most don't.

What do you care if I want to jump with the select button???? :P
