Thunder Force II

Ah Thunder Force II. Easily my favorite Genesis shooter, my favorite bits were actually the free roaming overhead stages.

Is there any other shooter that's like Thunder Force II?

Traffic Department 2192 is a little different, but worth checking out.

I checked out Time Pilot 84 on mame, and it's kind of fun for about five minutes. Not nearly as fun as TF2. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'd like to try Traffic Department 2192, but that's DOS. I'm on a Mac. DOS = ewww

Traffic Dept is... how can I put it, strange. It's not bad if your looking for some quick fun but the intermissions get really annoying. The woman you play as is a bitch and not likable in any sort of way at all. The gameplay is slow and choppy, looks like 12 fps. The controls are quite difficult to get the hang of. Not bad for a time waster though.
