Burning isos

Post by arion »

well ive pretty much got the hang on how to burn games for the Dreamcast..But i tried to burn Ecco The Dolphin with Discjuggler and i set it as follows

Mode 2
Block 2352
TOC : CD-DA
RAW Write
Overburn and ofcourse the lowest burning speed possible 8X

and it does boot and it looks like its working but i get no further than the Screen setup where i can choose between 50hz or 60hz and after that the game freezes and im im back to the Dreamcast menu..

So the question is..Is the Iso bad or am i doing something wrong with the Diskjuggler Settings. Since i have burned games with these settings and theyve worked fine.

And i do know about the Cdi2Nero thing but thats no help since only nero 6 works with my burner..and nero 6 is no good for Dc burning.

ecco was one of the first wave of "releases" so it requires a boot disk (search for euphoria i think), unless you have managed to get a new rip.... could be worth a shot before you waste to may cds trying to get it to boot ;)

you can get a dc-bootkit and you can convert 99% to selfboot, you will possibly need cdrwin working with your burner to get this to work tho... unless they updated it. I used it last as a dos tool.

im gonna try googling for that boot program you mentioned..if that doesnt work im not gonna bother with burning another copy ive done 2 already and the results are the same. And i´d have thought the iso was relatively new since i got it from emuparadise.org throug the bittorrent tracker they have there
