The demo available to play at the expo was the multiplayer version. This version allows you to play as some of the old school Bond heavies and henchmen like Oddjob, Jaws, Scaramanga, and Trevelyan. What was most surprising was how much this looks and plays like classic GoldenEye after so many games tried and failed to imitate the style and precedent Rare set way back when with the original GoldenEye.

The setup let us use a classic style wireless controller which works a lot better for the multiplayer first person shooter gameplay. The controls are great. For bad controller operators like me, you can invert the controls so tilting your analog stick points your gun up, side to side, down, et al. This is very easy to pick up and play and start stalking and shooting out your enemies. You can hold an assortment of guns like the original. However, the developers were very mum about whether we would get to use double guns like we did in the original. I said pretty adamantly if we couldn't get like our double magnums, double machine guns, and double assault rifles that there would be problems. What the frell is GoldenEye without double guns?

The game will feature single player, multiplayer, and online multiplayer modes. The single player modes will feature the one and only Daniel Craig as James Bond since this version is more reflective of the Craig movies. The game hits DS and Wii in November 2010.

Whoa. There's going to be a DS version. If the Wii version is good, I bet the DS version will be good, too!
