I know the guy who used to run |tsr's NES Archive beat it. I think his name was Ken Gifford or something. I've been trying to beat games I could make decent progress in but gave up on as a kid. I guess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be soon on my list.

I beat it many, many years back. I dont remember it being terribly hard. Maybe it was though. Keep in mind though, at 50 bucks a game back then you normally had a limited selection of games to choose from, so you played the shit out of what you had.

I could never get past the Technodrome. Back when I was younger that game was ballz hard. Maybe I'll fire it back up too. I keep you posted.

The game was all about using your other Turtles as sacrifices and letting Don fight all the bosses with his horribly overpowered weapon. I've never beaten the entire game without savestates, but Shredder is really easy with Don.

When the Angry Video Game Nerd realized that you have to walk over the hole instead of jump, I felt so vindicated. I had the same aggravating realization and almost exploded my brain bits. I never did beat that damned game, despite hours of trying.

I beat it a few times. Fairly certain I beat it last year as well.

The first time I beat it I used the game genie, but after I got a better feel for the last two levels, which are as hard as a left turn on main street at 5pm, I got a better "feel" on how to beat it.

I haven't, but I'll try. Although, I'll probably play through it once with a Game Genie, and then try to do it for real.

All you really need for a practice run is the ability to have infinite scrolls. Once you get the patterns down and know the cheap spots, you'll be good to go.

I beat it years ago. Roughly around the time it came out on the NES. There were no emulators and save states to use back then, so I did it the hard way. I've never in my life used a Game Genie or anything like that either. Not to beat a game anyway, those things can be fun for just messing around though.

It was a tough game, but it felt good when I finally beat it.
