The sad look on the Algerian coach's face was the highlight of the match for me. His team wasted ample opportunities and it wouldn't have done to end the game in draw anyway.

Slim as their chances may be I hope England and the US pick up the pace in the next round.

USA scored in extra time to win the group and advance to the next round. If they didn't they would of been eliminated.

Just seen the US goal that was called off in the Algeria match. It really seemed to be an offside position, albeit a slight one (the torso of the American player was ahead of the Algerian player).

I was glad to see America go through seeing as they were completely shafted by the referee in the game against Slovenia (and debatably against Algeria as well, although I'd have to see the offside again). Well deserved.

England coming second sets up the possibility of England v Germany in the next round as well which I'm sure would be an exciting spectacle.
