The few crap games I own are crap games that I can still have tons of fun with. Other than that, nothing but net here.

Quality, I really don't understand people who obsess over getting every game for a system. In my opinion, if it's a crap game, it doesn't belong in my collection

I feel the same way about achievements and trophies. I will NEVER play a game ONLY for achievements/trophies. If the game is crap, I don't care about how much gamerscore I can get from it, there is no way in hell you'll see it on my profile

EDIT: I also don't buy games that aren't complete. To me, I don't really own the game unless I own it in its entirety, which means box/case and instructions, but to each his own. That's just how I feel about it

except for the quality i have my own standards. for one, disk based games i like to have the case and usually the manual, especially ps1 games. for cart games, im not nearly as picky, i will pick one up even without box or manual. and like emwearz said, i try to pick up games i know are good or i liked as a kid.

I have never bought disc only games, to me I feel like I might as well just burn a copy of it. For carts I dont mind, other than the Genny, I pass on heaps of Genny games because they dont have the case.

I thought we were talking quality of the titles, not quality of condition (completeness).

Depends on the price and the generation.

I'm generally disinterested in anything from the PS1/N64 era unless it is of very high quality or very, very cheap (sayyyy, 25 cents?).

However, I will purchase any game for the Master System / NES / Genesis / SNES / TG16 completely based on nostalgia worth / more titles on a shelf worth. With common sense applied. I will buy say... Tommy Lasorda Baseball for a dollar. But I wouldn't buy MVP Baseball 2005 if it was a dollar. I would never play either.

It just depends. If it's cheap enough, I'll buy something that sort of sucks. If it's something I really enjoy, I want it complete. For instance, I don't have a problem buying a loose copy of Snake, Rattle and Roll, for under $5 but I want a boxed copy of Double Dragon II and I'll pay $20 gladly.

Quality over quantity. Original labels and no greatest hits or platinum games.

It depends on the system. With my newer systems, I will only buy what appeals to me. I bought Inferno because it looked so much like GOW and I enjoyed it, but I might not have bought it otherwise. If it's a game for my TG-16 especially, I'll buy it if a. I don't already have it or b. I have it and the one presented to me is nicer. With my NES, I buy any game that I don't have just to have it...even Castle of Dragon, the worst game ever.

It's all about personal preference and storage room.
