Looking at the reviews, you'll see that it may take a *long* time to get one. You're probably better off just checking craigslist.

Yes, because the shipping is free, it will take awhile. I would recommend DE for smaller purchases, but you will still have to wait around a month for anything to arrive. A quick look on Amazon.com tells me you can get them for around $80.

I ordered something more expensive once and it got here and was in good condition - to me they are trustworthy enough. I never ordered a NDSL though.

It *will* take a while to get to you, but the prices are usually very competitive. It's up to you if you can wait. If they have what you want in stock it won't take that long actually, 2 or 3 weeks perhaps.

But it won't necessarily be in stock just because it says "In Stock" before you order as they don't keep that info updated (they have way too many SKUs to keep the info up to date). After you order you will receive valid info on the status and even an ETA if it is not in stock and you can cancel your order if you are not willing to wait.

The advantage of going with a DX refurbished NDSL is that you can choose the model (including, I believe, most if not all limited editions) and you're mostly guaranteed that everything is working. You can also already order some extras (like screen protectors or USB charging cables) while you are at it.

I'd say go for it, if you are willing to wait a month or even two (in case it is not in stock at the time).

Ivo.
