Just realized the Dreamcast is sitting on a CRT, does look stable for now. Brings a point if the CRT TV is non-HD, then you can play a very good light gun game for the DC, House of the Dead.
Did you read those Game List PDFs links from my first Reply on the first page?
Another thought is if you can find it, is the E.T. cart made specifically for the Atari 400-800 computers. It'll run on the XE with better graphics then the old dogged 2600 version. Of course, Star Raiders is a must on that retro machine good you have it, others include Choplifter, Miner 2049er, Crossfire, list is endless on 8 bit classic games. Shame that Type Attack by Sirius is only on floppy.
Atari 400-800-XE cart list, happy hunting!

Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
The CRT is, unfortunetally HD, meaning light guns won't work very well. However, the small TV works great with light guns and will display the same thing as the big CRT, meaning I don't have to unplug stuff, I just have to use the small TV.CRTGAMER wrote:Added pics for added Reply.

Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
Does that CRT have VGA input? Dreamcast VGA box works with Lightguns, a chance might work with your HD.
What is the Atari XE Parker Brothers cart on the bottom right?

An HD CRT. Damn, I never could find one of those. Nice. My Vizio flatscreen has been good to me though
I love when people show their collections or game rooms. I'll have to do mine one of these days

Frogger
The TV is made by Samsung and is 1080i I really have no idea what that means, and the only way I know it's HD is because it says HD on it. I'm in no way a videophile or audiophile.
I really want to hook up my DVD player via component cables. Only it's not because I care about video quality, it's because it would free up an AV port.
Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
Same here. My CRT HD Sony unfortunately doesn't have VGA input either. But love it, we both own a kinda rarity since its also a 4:3 screen. Great for Retros, take care of that heavy rare dinosaur. A heavy duty stand needed for the monster!slowslow325 wrote:No VGA inputCRTGAMER wrote:Does that CRT have VGA input? Dreamcast VGA box works with Lightguns, a chance might work with your HD.

Frogger, great game!
The 1080i confirms your resolution is a HD, as in mine the only one lacking is 1080p. Really hypothetical cause most of the time I end up using 480p since 1080i tries to set the screen to wide screen with black bars on the 4:3 CRT HD. Still its nice experimenting the 1080i mode for PS2 Tourist Trophy and Grand Turismo. Whenever possible choose p over i; screen is drawn every line not staggering. End result is less flicker in the pic.
Component cables are so cheap now, but if you are really in a pinch an easy matter of simply adding regular RCA cables such as a stereo VCR patch cable to your DVD player. 3 RCA cables for the component cables of Red, Blue and Green. 2 additional RCA cables for the audio red and white. Also avoid composite if you can go S-Video or better.
EDIT
Forgot to mention, with your two TVs you can also play Link games on 2 grey PSXs.

Check my CRT vs LCD signature link, may be of help in giving ideas about various inputs.
