Game discounts at Amazon?

Hey guys,
I thought I remembered reading somewhere that amazon gives you discounts for any future purchases after you buy a game. Is that something they still offer? Or am I just dreaming?
Also if it's true, does amazon.ca offer the same thing?

It's definitely not typical, if they do at all. Lately the give me free credit for MP3 downloads, but that's about it.

It's usually on pre-orders, and it will say on the page:

The game discounts are primarily for pre-orders.

Generally from preorders, and you'll get $10-20 credit off the next VG purchase. They've also started doing $5 MP3 credit as well, but that's less common.

If I got that kind of reward for pre-ordering games in this country I'd have every single game on day one. Just because I know I can play it and then trade it into CEX for a profit. I'd actually earn money to play games...
