Nice looks like a very good gameroom
I put rocket fuel in my vaccuum and it started a fire in my house. I am so mad at Black & Decker for making a vaccuum that I can't do what I want with.

If there was a "cringing" smiley available on this forum, I would use three of them right now.slowslow325 wrote:I'm not the biggest fan of Dreamcast, so it rarely gets played. If you like DK64, you should like Rayman 2. It's also on the 64, but the DC version is gorgeous.

Why? It's not going to fall, and the duct tape is taped so that it isn't seen and won't damage it. I've used it on other consoles before, but the Dreamcast is the one I play the least so it goes up there.lisalover1 wrote:If there was a "cringing" smiley available on this forum, I would use three of them right now.slowslow325 wrote:I'm not the biggest fan of Dreamcast, so it rarely gets played. Even if it falls, it probably won't break. I've dropped it from arms length and it worked perfectly afterwards (accidentally, of course) Plus if it falls it would just slide off onto a soft carpet. And if it did break, I'd just buy a new one and save this one for parts.
Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
I see that same mindset on "tower displayed" PS2-PS3-360s. Why place consoles in a way to risk of damage? Maybe put the Dreamcast with the Atari XE, hooked up that is? Spare unused NES could be displayed somewhere else? An added benefit is the controller cables won't cover your beautiful screen during gameplay.slowslow325 wrote:Why? Did you see those PDFs on my previous Reply? Lot of game variety for the Dreamcast.

Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
There is no risk of damage as it would take someone lifting it up and pushing it down to knock it over. I've tested to see if it would fall, and it won't. The XEGS isn't hooked up, nor is the spare NES. The only reason they are down there is because in the winter I have to move all the stuff somewhere else because there is a heater behind it and it would melt. So it's too hard to put stuff that's hooked up down there.CRTGAMER wrote:I see that same mindset on "tower displayed" PS2-PS3-360s. Why place consoles in a way to risk of damage? Oop didn't notice the heater, good point. Still gotta be a better location. Perhaps later on a small shelf to raise the TV to a better level? Dreamcast could be in a better safer location and prevent controller cables from blocking the screen.

Re: slowslow's New Game Room!
I've only had this room set up for about a month now, so I haven't really had the time or money to finish it yet. I'll probably get a small TV stand with just a shelf underneath it to put my DC on. The Dreamcast was on the shelf where the small TV is, but I brought in the small TV, and temporarily moved the dreamcast to the top of the TV.CRTGAMER wrote:Oop didn't notice the heater, good point.
