Anyone else think the new XBOX 360 slim is ugly?

I still think of the PS3 as a hi-tech portable grill.

Not terribly fond of the 360S, but I still think the fugliest consoles were the PS2 and N64.

Actually the new 360 is about 1/2 inch thinner and considerably shorter. I actually like the way it looks compared to the old 360, and I think the old PS3 looked far nicer than the slim version.

The only problem for me is the glossy finish. The shape looks better to me.

What I don't understand, though, is why they changed the color of the console. Seems like a dumb marketing move to me, to change the visual identity of the system this drastically.

yeah as long as it plays and not have to worry about it. i still have my original xbox360 never had a problem with it. the date on it is 09/05/2008 it's a falcon. if it ever dies i'll get the new 360 don't care how it looks!

I kinda like it, well it's OK. It kinda looks futuristic with the shiny look and angular design. It doesn't look like it would fit well on shelves, though.

It also looks like a bad game PC that someone tried to make look cool with a shiny case. Oh wait! That's what it is!

I think it looks okay, but I'm really not convinced it's that much smaller than the run of the mill 360. Someone earlier mentioned it was shorter...is that the only dimension really changed? If so, that's kind of a fail, in my opinion. And just like the non-slim PS3s this thing is gonna gather dust like it's nobody's business. I think Microsoft needs to buy stock in feather dusters before they officially launch this thing.
