Yes, it is clunky. I have no idea how you can compare the VF system to the MK system. It's fucking six buttons, two punches, two kicks, plus run and block. If you find that easy, well, congrats for your mad skillz.

You know, I'm not a fighter officianado, but why don't more of them show battle damage and bruises? Hasn't it mostly been the pervy fighters with shredding female clothes that have done this sort of thing?
Well, up until recently all the 2D fighters were sprite based, and all the 3D fighters required you to use your imagination to fap to the ninja girls.

I don't understand the "clunky" comment at all. There's no run button in this game, and block being in one of the shoulder positions makes it easy to use while effectively allowing you to "buffer" attack combinations. This isn't fucking advanced calculus.

Yes, unbelievable, how can anyone expect people to operate 6 buttons in a fighter? It's a good thing Capcom never makes their fighters with 6 buttons.

Oh wait...

You kids need to lay off each other. So one of you doesn't want to play because he's not interested in the control scheme, oh well, it's his decision.

I never bought into the argument "MK isn't as smooth of fighting system as Street Fighter" or substitute "smooth" with something else. If you don't like the original MK games it's most likely because you're use to Street Fighter (or something else) games. Likewise, I'll kick your ass in MKII but I completely suck at Street Fighter II. Holding back to block? Yeah, that's less complicated than a dedicated block button (sarcasm).

To be fair, how many other 2D fighters have a dedicated block button?

Maybe complicated is not the world. Perhaps less intuitive.
