Wii Speak

Post by fastbilly1 »

So I have searched high and low for this information but cannot find it so I thought I would ask yall. Is there really any use for a Wii Speak? I have the option to pick up a couple of them but apart from a dozen games and the channel, I see no reason for it. There doesnt seem to be a driver for it on Windows or Linux (due to how it cuts out sound).

So does anyone know of any other use for it than these games?
Animal Crossing
Endless Ocean 2
NHL2k10
The Conduit 1&2
The Grinder
NBA2k10
Monster Hunter Tri

I mean the ones I am looking at are around $12 a pop (set of 8 I think) which is the price of a used one on Amazon. But I am hesitant, mostly because I dont see me using it for anything but Monster Hunter with a friend who I already just use Skype/Vent to talk to.

They are fairly cheap, unless you have friends who have one, and the game you wish to play they are hardly worth buying, only really applied well in Monster Hunter because of the genre of gameplay. I recently saw them for $15 at Target and passed because I doubt I would ever use it.

UNO (WiiWare) also supports WiiSpeak.

Thanks Emwearz. I think I am going to pass on them.
