I want a new FMV CGI game

Why can't someone make a new CGI/FMV game. I just watched a few trailers of games that are to be released later this year. One was the new star wars game for PS3. It probably to a few guys a month or so to make that CGI - maybe longer maybe shorter I don't know.

Now remember the effect Dragons Lair had when it first came out back in the 80s?

Can't someone put together a sweet CGI/FMV game today with better and more responsive controls?

I guess Heavy Rain is close in some parts. I'll have to settle for that for now.

What about the Casebook games? And that PSP game that's coming to the iPhone, Hysteria Project?

There's also DarkStar but it might be caught up in development hell again.

I think if they made that, there'd be no point in making it on the XBOX or Playstation. FMV games can be pulled off on DVD/Blue Ray players nowadays.

If it was put on the PS3 or XBox 360, a bunch of people would freak out and say it sucks because of what it is.

If it comes out on a BluRay Player, people will think it's cool just because it's A GAME ON A BLUERAY PLAYER!

I think the guys at Crytek might have you covered with their new title Kingdoms.

There's also the controversial new Homefront that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality by using newsreels and stock footage to tell a story of North Korea attacking America. It will be an FPS, but the story will be told with live-action film.
