Transfer a 64 pin saturn drive assembly to a 32 pin saturn?
Transfer a 64 pin saturn drive assembly to a 32 pin saturn?
My 32 pin saturn's drive is busted, and I'd like to replace it with an entire other drive assembly from another saturn (64 pin or sanyo possibly, Id like to order another model 2 on ebay). I'd like to just unplug the power cable and 21 pin cable (the one on the right side that connects to the mod chip), then replug them into the new drive. Are they compatible, and can I simply unplug those cables and replug them into the new drive assembly? Thank you for any help you can give!

This guy could answer your question:

Hes worked on a lot of Saturns and knows the inner workings compatibility better than I. Your question sounds interesting, Ive never thought of swapping drives.
