In another thread, the console Hyper Scan was brought up. heres the wiki page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HyperScan
anyone got one? is it worth it? I can get my hands on one pretty cheap (assuming there is still a whole stockpile at the store around here that had TONS of them) and i notice theres a little bit of a homebrew scene according to the wiki, so i am kind of curious if this would be a worthy investment. great addition to the a collection, but I want to know if its even worth having.

Re: Hyper Scan
I never had it, but I wanted it as a kid. Then I saw this review of it.
If it was more like a console e-Reader I would go for it. But seeing as this thing was competing with the 360 at the time, of COURSE it failed.
It's all just personal preference. I think this is the closest thing to a digital download I could come up with. If it only caught on.

Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

You wanted it "as a kid"? It only came out a few years ago. . .Josh wrote:I never had it, but I wanted it as a kid. Then I saw this review of it.

Back on topic, I remember seeing this console at Wal-Mart. Damn it looked stupid.

Limited games on that low production Mattel, hardly worth getting. More of a collector wall trophy.

I have never heard of it, looks like a piece of shit, love those loading screens.
Its hardly a console, more like a plug and play system.
