Well, I really want the slim 360 just for the fact that it might be more reliable than the current system. I have always worried that the 360 would be basically unplayable in the future due to the finicky nature of its hardware. If the Slim is twice as good as the old 360, retro gamers of the future might be able to actually play the system. Of course, M$ will likely have digital downloads of 360 games on the 720 or whatever ungodly machine they make next.

Damn, same thing happened to me when my mom decided to move the console while i was playing lost odyssey. Totally annihilated the disc and eventually may have lead to my 360 disc drive not working anymore (it was still under warranty thank goodness).
I didn't realize this was a huge issue with the 360 until now haha.

I don't know, The 360 is hard to knock over. Plus, it could go horizontal. And who would be standing that close to the 360 when you are playing kinect? It's not like there is any controller to throw at it, to knock it over.

Very narrow, doesn't look stable. For that matter any PS2, PS3, 360. Why setup as a tower with risk of tipping over? A pain changing game disc with the balancing open tray act.
