Check this out:

Ed Boon has said that it's basically going to be a mash-up of the first three MK games and feature characters from that time period only.

I guess that means no Kenshi, but oh well.

The good news is that DLC is planned indefinitely, and will later feature more characters and background levels available for download after launch. So who knows what we might see in the future!?

That bottom bar intruiges me, especially with the different icons in it. I wonder what it's used for.

At the first level, it powerups your special moves, so things like projectiles would be larger and harder to avoid. The second level gives you a combo breaker like we've seen in the past few MKs. The third level is a crazy X-ray super move that triggers a barrage of attacks in which the camera zooms in and "X-rays" the opponents body, letting you see organs being punctured and bones being shattered. The last one looks pretty sweet.

MK has sucked kinda hard since UMK3 as far as fighting goes, but this time it looks like they're trying to get that depth back and it may actually work. I've played a LOT of competitive UMK3 so I'm very excited about this.

Cool so all I have to do is drop $2,500 on a 3D television with glasses and I'm set.

Yeah right.
