Couldn't care less, I don't do sports

Everytime I tuned into G4's coverage of E3 today I was bored out of my mind. Watch sports on 360-who cares. Another new shooter coming out-don't care. Yet another shooter coming out-don't care. Look! A new shooter! Got enough shooters to look forward to this year? No, here's more!

To quote one Homer Simpson, "Urge to kill rising"

This is why I really don't care about my shooterconsole 360 anymore

The only reason I have cable TV is it's a package deal with my internet and my phone (need a local number for the apartment gate). Once I move I'm getting rid of the TV and phone and sticking with just the internet.

I'm curious: how much money would you actually save? Last I checked, Comcast was $60/month for internet alone. Package with digital/basic cable, and it's what, $80/month?

The last time I turned on my TV for TV was the Superbowl. The time before that was the previous year's Superbowl. Everything else I watch is downloaded. Half the time I can download a show before it airs here in PST land, plus I get to skip commercials. It's not that I can't afford the TV, I just don't see any reason to pay for a feature I won't use at all.

Comcast was charging me almost $140 a month for internet/phone/cable after the initial special ran out. I cut everything but internet and like 15 channel which dropped it to $55, purchased the playon software to watch Hulu through my 360 and ran an HDMI cable from my computer to my TV. I do not watch a lot of TV but I will never have cable again unless it drops in price to be free included with internet.

Comcast offered me a deal for six months to get basic cable and Internet for $55/month, as opposed to the $60 I was paying for just Internet.

Yeah, I went with the deal and only turned on my TV to watch the news.

That is basically what happened to me. I wanted to cut cable completely and they told me it was cheaper to keep internet+ the few channels than it was for internet alone.
