Oh and just to clarify, Metroid Prime Hunters is NOT in there because it's not canon. It's a spinoff.AppleQueso wrote:it's not a "timeline theory", it's the actual official canon timeline.vash23n wrote:How do the other games fit into that timeline? Just curious as I have been on a Metroid marathon and I always find timeline theories interesting - I know some people hate them and those who subscribe to them, but who cares...AppleQueso wrote:Metroid -> Metroid II -> Prime series -> Super Metroid
that's the canon timeline fyi.
Also I get the feeling that c0r33 has no idea what the Metroid series is supposed to be all about, gameplay wise.
Oop I got it wrong, it's Metroid -> Primes -> Metroid II -> Super -> Fusion
sorry.

Wow so when getting a culumlative score 97/100 as bad?SplashChick wrote:http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... id%20primec0r33 wrote:Lets be honest here the prime games sucked as a whole. I only played hunters online something that the console versions should have a had. The story was always terrible and the gameplay sucked. Sorry! I forgot im on the internet and my opinion isn't allowed to be voiced.
Yeah man that game just sucks so bad it's so obvious and indisputable.
I put rocket fuel in my vaccuum and it started a fire in my house. I am so mad at Black & Decker for making a vaccuum that I can't do what I want with.

I think c0r33 is one of those guys who went into the series expecting an action-heavy shooter, and didn't like it when it turned out the game was more about exploration than action. Hence his complaint about online mulitplayer.
Re: Favorite Metroid Prime game
Hunters isn't that bad of a game at all. Sure the single player story line (was there one?) and game play is very different from the console ones but it easily made up with multiplayer functions.
Nothing beats you and a buddy fending off 2 three star Spibots while trying to stay in control of the Defender Ring.

From a programming and design standpoint I agree with you. From a carpal tunnel inducing, hand cramping gameplay standpoint I disagree whole heartedly.Lord_Deo wrote:Hunters isn't that bad of a game at all.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Favorite Metroid Prime game
Well, as the guy named DS, i guess it wouldn't be too unexpected for me to like hunters the best! Do I get stabbed now?
Really it was a choice between the first prime and hunters, I never played 2 or 3

Re: Favorite Metroid Prime game
Metroid Prime is my favorite. MP3 ruined the game by making it a FPS instead of a First Person Adventure Game. My second favorite would be Metroid Prime Pinball! Woo!

Then you also have the horrible balance and abusable alt system. It really is a bad game. If you say otherwise you just don't know it well enough.Flake wrote:From a programming and design standpoint I agree with you.
