Ok, so the first cart was FF5 and this one is Zelda LTTP. I'm curious what you're aiming for by fiddling with the boards.

a universal snes repro pcb. So people don't have to use donor carts.

Ah ok gotcha.

I just hope that not too many FF5 and LTTP carts are harmed in the learning process.

Hopefully they'll just be studied, and not damaged. I mean, the main point of this is to preserve the games.

I've been wanting SNES repro PCBs for a while now, so I'm very excited that there's finally a clone CIC chip available.

Where? Is it universal? All my non-collectors carts will get them.

I honestly hope you didn't hurt Zelda LTTP, thats my fav SNES game.

I'm asking about the CIC, and if I can jsut drop it into my carts so they;ll work in any region, and more accurately, a link so I can buy one.

It's not universal, You have to program a chip yourself with the code and do some rewiring.

It wouldn't make sense to use one on a REAL cart, they more useful on 'homemade' carts.
