ok say what you will but, the metroid series has never had a really overarching story line. Also when getting a metroid game don't expect multiplayer at all.
I put rocket fuel in my vaccuum and it started a fire in my house. I am so mad at Black & Decker for making a vaccuum that I can't do what I want with.

I love Prime 2: Echoes. Also got the Trilogy awhile back and got rid of the separate titles. Best thing I've ever done!!!

Metroid Prime 1 is basically Super Metroid in 3D.

How can anything top that?

Yeah, the world is obsessed with online multiplayer right now. Some games, yes, I can see how it would work, but there are others that aren't meant to be multiplayer. Metroid is one of them. A main aspect of the game, like it or hate it, is isolation. Plus, I don't know how you would even work multiplayer into a game like Metroid - multiple Samuses... Samii?

Metroid -> Metroid II -> Prime series -> Super Metroid

that's the canon timeline fyi.

Also I get the feeling that c0r33 has no idea what the Metroid series is supposed to be all about, gameplay wise.

How do the other games fit into that timeline? Just curious as I have been on a Metroid marathon and I always find timeline theories interesting - I know some people hate them and those who subscribe to them, but who cares...

it's not a "timeline theory", it's the actual official canon timeline.

Oop I got it wrong, it's Metroid -> Primes -> Metroid II -> Super -> Fusion

sorry.

Yeah man that game just sucks so bad it's so obvious and indisputable.
