For $15 I got these 5 games at a play n trade:

Jade Empire special edition
Mechassult 2 special edition
Xenosaga 2
Beyond Good and Evil
Max Payne 2

All xbox titles except Xenosaga. I felt it was a good find for the money.

I passed up a sealed Super Game Boy for the SNES. They only wanted $10. Am I stupid?

The only reason I passed it up is because I don't have any Game Boy games, and I thought that if I ever did buy any that I would just get a Game Boy Player for my Cube?

This definitely depends on the store...We had one close to me, and it was junk. The was nothing that was priced to be a "deal", and the store seemed to be in disarray and the employees were pretty poor quality. Of course, this store closed down within the last month or so, having only been open for about 2 years....

You could have sold it on eBay for 5x the buying price.

Today I got a black slim PS2 for free! It is in GREAT shape. It only came with an official memory card, power and AV cables, and a Pelican? controller. Everything is in excellent shape.

I picked up a few goodies for it since I got the system free. I got a brand new Ocean Blue Dualshock 2. The box was a little messed up so I got a good discount on it. Controller is perfect. I thought the blue controller went well with the light I picked up.

I also got the light up stand that you can see in the picture. It is pretty awesome I think. The blue is the color of the Wii light. It has an ON/OFF switch for the light. It also doesn't need its own wires or batteries. The PS2 power cable plugs into it, and the stand has a plug that plugs into the PS2. Very sturdy.

I also got official component cables for it. They are plugged in, so they are not in the picture.

And I got the DVD remote for it. I've had a couple of these remotes over the years and this is the ONLY one that I've had that allows you to turn the PS2 on and off. Awesome.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it. I don't have much need for a PS2. I may sell it or try to mod it.

I also got these games. I didn't get deals on them, but they are all complete and in very good shape.

Resident Evil 4 (GC, black label, complete)
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (complete)
Beyond Good & Evil (GC, complete)

Yeah, Play N Trade is a franchise. The individual store owners determine things like pricing and whatnot.

I find that in general, they're better than Gamestop, at least (since for one they actually carry retro stuff), but yeah it really depends and your experience can vary quite a bit from store to store.

The 72pin connector seems to be in great condition.
hey. i am like a stones throw away from akron. if fact, if i drink enough water and the wind is just right id probably be able to piss in akron standing on the edge of my property. are there any good places in akron to find retro stuff? pawn shops or whatever?

nice find by the way.
