I'll say it again, I've played this game a decent amount on an emulator before, and it's amazing.

Don't think it's $200 worth of amazing though.

Cool review! It looks like this game is something to get sad about missing out on. The graphics look really sweet. I love to see games that push the hardware to the limits. Thanks for the review, it was enlightening. I've always wondered why Shantae was so expensive.

I remember reading about shantae back when it first came out, and I remembered really liking the whole look of it and thinking I would like it, but I was young and worried about diving into buying a game I knew next to nothing about. Plus, I had no money of my own.

It's cliche to say it, but if I knew then what I know now... yeah.

At the time I was 15 and bought the game with money I got for friggin' babysitting lol. The concept of buying any game new was kind of scary. I just knew that Shantae would be rare because it was a GBC game released well into the GBA's life and also an known property with no marketing push.

The same thing would have happened to Radio Allergy had it not been canceled for Gamecube and why the press dev version is worth so much now.

Oh my God, I remember this game! Got it a long time ago at the GameStop in my mall.

I regret selling it now, for I realize it is ridiculously awesome. I was too young to understand it then, which is probably why the farthest I got was Water Town. lol

Great review. It's very... clean-looking.
