so last week, I finished assembling the sega, everything seemed to be working great. but for some strange reason, when I put the cover on, my CD audio turns to poo. The Sega generated music sounds fine, such as the opening intro sound and moving the cursor sounds, but the actual CD music sounds like its random digital noise.
I changed from the A+B method to the signal wire one... but now I am worried that I dont have the correct revision saturn for it its a PAL round button. :S
whats up?

Re: Sega Saturn mod chip confusion
I actually just installed a modchip today. It came out fine. However mine is an NTSC system. Ive never heard of your problem before. It may be because its a PAL Saturn.

Re: Sega Saturn mod chip confusion
You're saying it works until you put the cover on? Sounds like the ribbon cable is being pushed down a little when the cover is on so there's a dodgy connection. I'd unplug stuff, clean the connections, then give it another go.
