Burning and playing PS1 games
Burning and playing PS1 games
Hi, just wondering how most of you would burn a PS1 iso, and how can you do the swap trick on fat PS1?
Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
Burn using IMGBURN with the slowest burn speed your burner can handle. Youtube the Playstation Swaptrick.

Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
Is there a better program than alcohol? I've been trying to get panzer bandit to work, and I've made like 20 coasters because of how many times it's failed. I thought it was my laptops burner, but I tried it in a pc and it failed as well. Alcohol has never failed me before... The games won't fully run in either my modded ps1, or ps2. Alcohol never burns it at the slowest speed either. I tell it 4x and it goes LOL!8X! or faster.
Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
As I just said IMGBURN, its freeware as well. If it dont work with IMGBURN, you have a bad image to start with, or you are using really shit cheap discs.
Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
Sorry, I forgot to add I used that already. Twice and then I passed over it. I also used powerIso, and some other one I forget. I've gone through two different image files as well and nothing. All my other discs work fine so it's not the media either. I'm at a complete loss. Both images work in the emulator too so I'm just baffled. I really want to play co op panzer bandit...emwearz wrote:As I just said IMGBURN, its freeware as well. Then something is wrong with your PS1, IMGBURN is by far the best program for 90% of consoles.

Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
Hes right Image Burn worked most of the time for me. I have a chipped PS2 Fat with ToxicOS .41 and it plays all my backups of PS1 and PS2 games. Actually I have them on an internal HD now, but should I need to play a disk, Ive got the comfort of knowing it will play burnt CD-R's and DVD-R's burning them with Image Burn of course. Ive heard Alcohol 120 works for PS2 games as well, but I haven't tried it more than a couple times and that was a while ago.
As for PS1 games, Id stick to Image Burn and try re-downloading the Image of the game you're trying to burn.

Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
I just uninstalled imgburn, and re installed it. Will attempt for the 20th or so time...
edit: Just counted. 23 coasters, of panzer bandit.
edit: AND IT WORKS! With a scratched disc to boot.

I would have stop at the 7 disc. try gameshark, boot discs, etc

Re: Burning and playing PS1 games
how would I use boot discs/game shark? It's a burned game, and the system is already modded.benderx wrote:
