Is there a possible simple tweak to this? It didn't stop working, but I have to press with more intent or hold it to get a contact. Maybe I need to replace a part?
Is this a usual problem?
EDIT: I guess I should try to blow some compressed air into it. I find it strange that the R button is affected but not the other one.

Same thing happened to me. I eventually had to completely re-solder in a new button.
Once the intense blowing (wait... nevermind) stops working, thats about when you'll need to get the damn thing replaced. I only had to spend 7 bucks plus shipping on mine, but I cant remember the site I got it from.

So needing to "clean" the thing means the button is already somewhat destroyed? I understood that the button *may* be ok and I just need to clean it. But the *may* is may be, may not be.newt42 wrote:Same thing happened to me. I eventually had to completely re-solder in a new button.

Re: R button on my DS lite not so responsive
Well, I guess I could order these:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1466
Apparently this repair is one of the easiest as I just need to remove the bottom part of the casing and won't even need to touch the motherboard etc. Has anyone done this before? I could use the confidence before I order the tri-wing and replacement part. Also would like a decent video with the camera focused throughout...
