I'm using the Kega Fusion Emulator and a Saitek controller. For some reason the KF doesn't recognize the controller.
Is there something I can do to fix this?
Kega Fusion doesn't recognize controller
Re: Kega Fusion doesn't recognize controller
What is your OS?
Do you have the latest drivers for your Saitek gamepad?
Do you have DirectX installed and up to date?
Do you have the latest revision of Fusion? (v3.64)
To test whether DirectInput supports your gamepad (imperative), fire up dxdiag.exe (from Run) and go to the Input tab. It should be listed under DirectInput Devices if it is to work with Fusion.

Re: Kega Fusion doesn't recognize controller
If worse comes to worse you can always use some program that maps controller input to keyboard (there is a tutorial for Xpadder here in the site, if you need help).

What's the specific Saitek model that you have?

Saitek p990
Re: Kega Fusion doesn't recognize controller
This is strange indeed. Is Fusion the only app that doesn't recognise your gamepad? Have you tried other emulators and games? An N64 emulator with NRage input plugin is a good test because it lets you select your gamepad from a drop-down list.

Re: Kega Fusion doesn't recognize controller
download some other emulators to see if they recognize it so you can narrow down the problem. i'd try googling too to see if other people had the same problem as you sometimes that helps. maybe mess around with the options in control panel under devices & printers.
if none of that shit works just get like Xpadder or Joy2Key or something. they're small programs that make other ones think your controller is the keyboard so its at least guaranteed to work that way if its only the emulator that won't recognize the joypad.
