You probably already know this but with custom firmware the psp can run at 333Mhz clockrate. I even have a plugin that uses 333Mhz on games, and variable cpu speed when watching videos or browsing internet etc.

Anyway yeah it's much better than ps1. I agree it is just below ps2.

Can't wait for e3 to see what nintendo has come up with.

I really hope the 3DS isn't just cashing in on the 3D gimmick alone. I relly hope there is something else. Not to mention, almost all forms of 3D give me headaches. I'll stick with my 2D screens thank you.

Yeah i'm not too keen on the whole 3d thing. The whole "let's try to bring back 3d to the cinemas" really isn't working for me but maybe it won't hurt the eyes as the cinema screen does..

People like us rely on the fact there will be a button on the 3Ds to turn on/off the 3D stuff.

Below the PS 2 yes, but it's hard to tell with some games. PSP can do some amazing things when in the right hands

According to sources:

We know that the 3DS will be on display at E3 next week, but rumours are now surfacing that the game being used to demo the system will be a 3D version of Animal Crossing. It is further expected that this will be the launch game for the system.

Nintendo's conference is set for 9AM Pacific on Tuesday, so I guess we'll know more then!

Raw clock speed is a terrible way to compare different hardware.
