where is a good place to find a converter thats cheap? i wanna hook up older system to a extra computer screen i have, but everything i see is way expensive. this is the closest i can find but its s-video

That will not work. Direct cables have no way of changing the signal.
You need a transcoder. Read my CRT vs LCD signature link.

While you are there please vote your TV, so far CRT is ahead.
