3DS is supposedly more powerful than the Wii?

tl;dr version: The New DS won't use Nvidia chips and will be closer to the Xbox 360 or PS3 in terms of graphical power.

...so what do you folks with more technical knowledge think? I'm a total technical illiterate. So I'm not sure how credible this report is.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that's true. Only because the Wii isn't especially powerful. But I'm sort of avoiding 3DS speculation this week in anticipation of learning the facts soon enough.

I always want the next generation of handhelds to be as powerful as possible; so portable emulation can advance more quickly. I am seriously hoping for a portable Gamecube emulator with the PSP2, or, if this report is true, the 3DS.
