You can use A gamecube controller for some wii games. And Classic controller for most vc games.

well yes and no. I feel like my wife would use it more than me honestly. If you saw the PILE of (really good) GB games I recently got in that I haven't even popped in yet... let's just say I'm not exactly about to succumb to boredom.

Yup, you can, although missing the extra two shoulder buttons can be fustrating (they are mapped to them analog stick)

The Wii serves the retro needs the most
It runs:
Snes, Genesis, Wii64, Commodore , neo-geo, mame, scummvm .

I think the only thing it does run is:
psx,ps2, xbox, saturn, and dreamcast.

Also worth pointing out that the PS3 will also play your PS1 discs, making it by the longest backward-compatible console currently available.

I put 360 not for the fact that it has the most retro games ex: Genesis, neo geo, and arcade titles but for the fact that they get a lot of new stuff that sticks to the old school style.

If I wanted to play genesis games id emulate them.

using that line of thinking, I'd say that the Wii's Virtual Console utilizes the Classic Controller, which is based on the SNES controller -- still my favorite pad of all time.
