Does anyone here knows about books?

Post by Haruspex »

This may be a little random to post in these forums. If someone know a better to place to direct me i appreciate it.

Well i have an old bible here with me and i want to know the value but the thing is i dont know anything about books.

Anyway i did a google search and i think it values around 500 dollars maybe less or more, the problem is that they exist many variations and editions of that bible.

And the most annoying part is that it doesn't list a date!

So here are some pics

I'd guess late 1800s. Like around 1880. And really a lot depends on condition for old books to fetch a high price. I'd guess you could make $75 to $250 depending on where and how you sell it. There are a few similar editions with different covers and bindings on the UK ebay if you look.

Still though a great find! Good luck! You could turn that into a lot of games!

Well I have been googling "Rev John Eadie DD LLD" and I keep getting sparse information about him and bibles that are all from the 1800's, so it is an antique. As for its value you probably need to have it appraised.
