help with video display on a saturn

Post by raztat »

I had this saturn for a few months now just never got to test it because it didnt come with a game. Its a good thing i didnt pay for it. Well now i have 2 games, NiGHTS, and SF Alpha 2, when I go to play them the intro comes on and the press start menu appears. on NiGHTS i can start a new game but once i do that all i see is a background, nothing else, no characters, or no obsticles. on SF2 I just hear music and its a black screen. Could it be the system itself? or the rf switch? I looked in the rf switch and it has only 3 prongs, on the saturn it looks like it should have at least 8 or 9. I ordered a new rf switch so i really hope that is what is wrong with it i want to play my saturn so bad.

Doesn't sound like an RF problem since you are seeing an image at the start. Also, the RF connector having only 3 pins is normal. To save money, when they make the cables, they usually only put the pins in that they are going to use. Sorry that I can't be of more help.
