i bought these wireless controllers for the sega saturn on ebay. they were naki brand. i only used them once because some a** decided to design the trigger buttons real small, its almost as if you had to stick your finger inside the controller to hit the button.

wish i can afford genuine wireless sega saturn controllers from japan, they usually go for $100+, im willing to get rid of some of my collection if i get a hold of them.

personally i hate the gd-rom drive more than i hate the fan on the dreamcast. i dont think the fans are that bad, at least its consistent. the gd-rom sounds like a saw.

I agree -- sorry if my comment made it sound otherwise...

Speaking of which, is there a good way to take down the GD-ROM drive a few decibels?

I think one of the best ways (for the player) is to use headphones that isolate you from the surrounding (those large ones that look like ear warmers and of the sort that airplane pilots use)

Might not be an option though.

RadarScope1 wrote:On the 360 noise - It's truly been reduced. I bought a new 360 a month ago. It has a fairly quiet fan and the BenQ drive is pretty quiet. The drive makes a moderate amount of noise when booting a disc-based game, then calms down and you never hear it again. I know the older ones are loud and hot, but honestly if you buy a new 360 right now it's not going to be very loud. And I don't play games with the TV volume cranked, either.
I was considering getting a new Elite model to replace my current one and did some checking on some forums. Still seems like a lottery in that you might get a quiet one. All depends on the drive make and fan make as well. Glad you got a nice quiet one!

Anyway my peeves:

Lack of good cables packaged with the consoles. Composite only? Still? Only MS got it right with the 360.
Hardware revisions like the DS Lite. Just wished that Nintendo would offer an offical "trade in your fat DS for a new one for a small fee" scheme or something for early adopters.
Joypads with useless Dpads
Loading times. I know it cant be helped but will we ever see some new tech that eliminates loading altogether? I miss cartridges.
And like others have said, mulitple SKU's!
360 Gamer Tag = Kinn, PS3 Tag = xKINNx, Wii = 3036 8283 1247 3110

I know man, that's a load of shit. Can't we at least get component?
Thank God there's eBay. I got a $50 PS3 HDMI cable for a dollar and $7 shipping. Seriously, $50 for a cable?

I like this idea. It'd be nice to trade it in instead of having to buy a new one, and selling the old one, and hoping it sells for a decent amount.

Unless there's some new off the wall tech, I think the only way we can accomplish this is by putting games on flash memory cards. I don't know if any of them are fast enough, but at least our consoles would be smaller due to not having a freaking huge Disc Drive.

I think that pisses most everyone off. I'm afraid to ask for consoles as a gift because none of my realtives are gamers (or knows two shits about them except that Kirby is cute) and that they'll get the wrong one.

I also hate the PS3's new controller. I can care less about the vibration, it's just that it's so lite. I shake the controller for Ninja Gaiden and it almost flies out of my hands because there's no weight there. That's the only reason why I'm getting the Dual Shock 3.
