What "Great" game did you end up hating?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Wow. You don't learn, or are way to optimistic.

I hate SF2 with a passion its not the graphics its not the controls I just cant play it. I think SF3 set the bar for me and going from a complex fighter like SF3 to one thats a little more tame just throws me off. That and I hate SF2 characters except for a few.
I feel you. Granted, I did play SF2 back in the day and loved it back then, but SF3 is just superior to it in every way - especially character design. SF2 had so many blatant social stereotypes I had a hard time believing someone at Capcom wasn't racist.

...And on that note, Street Fighter IV. Character roster wise, it was just another Street Fighter II with four newcomers. Gameplay-wise, it was a slow-motion, watered-down SF3 with none of the fun. Hated, hated, hated this game. Super Street Fighter IV is pretty alright, but I'll never forget how I basically flushed $60 down the drain on the original.

Also, Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I'm convinced at this point that it's just me - considering how long I've been with Nintendo, I just assume its one of those things that I've outgrown. You can only play the same game with a different name so many times before you lose your mind.

Actually come to think of it i also hated Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Majora's Mask was by leaps and bounds a better game, also my favorite Zelda title.

Mario on the other hand, haven't liked any of them TBH I'm still yet to try Galaxy however...

Sonic the Hedgehog 2, although I think it is because a friend punched me in the face when we were playing it at his house.

I also find Metroid Prime games really boring. I have 1 and 2 and have never been able to get into them. I think I'll just sell them to be honest - although last time I tried my friend (who is really into them) was horrified and wanted me to give them another go.

MadWorld - always gets mentioned in lists of the best Wii games but I had it and didn't like it.

Someone else mentioned Street Fighter 2. I don't get that either. The music is great and the characters are iconic but I just can't play it to save myself. I hate that there are 6 input buttons. That's way too many and overcomplicates things. I like Soulcalibur because you basically have Kick, Block, Horizontal Attack, Vertical Attack. Nice and simple. Street Fighter seems like you have to remember all the moves' input commands off by heart - not fun.
